EFZG - The Faculty of Economics & Business, University of Zagreb was founded in 1920, hence it represents the oldest institution of higher education in economics and business in the Republic of Croatia, but also in wider international context.
FEB Zagreb is one of 31 faculties of the University of Zagreb, founded in 1669, which positions it in the group of the oldest universities in Europe.
Based on the results of its economic, social and political activities, the number of current students and members of its Alumni society, the number and competencies of its professors, associates and accompanying staff, awarded international accreditations, and many top economists, managers, entrepreneurs and politicians, FEB Zagreb is recognized as leading and largest institution of economic and business education in the Republic of Croatia, and the wider region.
FEB Zagreb is a community of 260 professors and associates who carry out study programmes and participate in various research projects. In addition to the teaching staff, there are 115 non-teaching staff members assigned to Faculty’s professional services.
FEB Zagreb is currently attended by more than 8,500 students at all levels of study, and each year about 1,500 students complete their studies at various study programmes.
INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATIONS
Faculty of Economics & Business Zagreb is the holder of the national accreditation signed by the Croatian Agency for Science and Higher Education and the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia, but also 3 international institutional accreditations, EQUIS, AACSB & AMBA and EFMD Programme Accreditation for the university study programme in English – Bachelor Degree in Business. These achievments make FEB Zagreb as the only Triple Crown accredited institution in the Republic of Croatia that less than 1% of business schools worldwide can boast. This achievement makes the Faculty of Economics & Business Zagreb the 128th member of this elite global community of business schools. These accreditations are awarded by three of the largest and most renowned global accreditation institutions, marking the highest standards in quality and excellence in business education.
FEB ZAGREB STUDY PROGRAMMES
The Faculty of Economics & Business Zagreb provides study programmes at all levels: integrated undergraduate and graduate university studies, then undergraduate and graduate university study programmes in English, as well as postgraduate specialist and doctoral study programmes; professional undergraduate and graduate specialist studies, in the field economics and business economics. All study programmes of the Faculty of Economics & Business Zagreb are in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Declaration and have valid permits issued by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia.

The programmes encompass 18 different departments: Accounting, Business Foreign Languages, Business Law, Demography, Economic Theory, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Informatics, International Economics, Microeconomics and Economic Development, Managerial Economics, Marketing, Mathematics, Organization and Management, Physical Education, Statistics, Tourism, Trade and International Business.
INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITIES
International activities are an important component of FEB’s strategy, enabling academic staff and university students to be globally active and well-prepared for future challenges. In that respect FEB collaborates with numerous educational institutions, networks, associations and businesses around the world. Cooperation includes incoming and outgoing student and staff mobility, research and development activities, regional development cooperation and development of education. FEB has more than 140 Erasmus+ agreements and 52 bilateral inter-institutional agreements. The numbers of both outgoing and incoming mobility have been rising over the years and in recent time FEB sends over 120 students abroad yearly for an exchange with partnering institutions and hosts up to 280 students from all over the world. Most students are exchanged withing the Erasmus+ mobility programmes, followed by bilateral university and faculty exchanges and CEEPUS mobility.

The Faculty of Economics & Business Zagreb is a member of many international networks and associations in the fields of economics, business, quality management, human resource management, and tourism, such as AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), CEEMAN (International Association for Management Development in Dynamic Societies), CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Programme for University Studies), CESEENET (Central and South-East European PhD Network), CRANET (Certified Network on International Human Resource Management), EDAMBA (European Doctoral Programmes Association in Management and Business Administration), EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development), ERASMUS+ (EU's flaghip exchange programme), PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education), UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organization).
FEB ZAGREB SCIENTIFIC JOURNALS
Faculty of Economics & Business Zagreb has an intensive publishing activity, both in terms of issuing periodical scientific journals and publications, and supporting and participating in the publishing of numerous textbooks written by FEB professors for the purposes of the Faculty as well as for other faculties and colleagues in the various fields of economics and business administration science.
FEB Zagreb publishes the following journals: Acta Turistica, Market-Tržište, Poslovna izvrsnost - Business Excellence, ZIREB Zagreb International Review of Economics and Business, Zbornik Ekonomskog fakulteta u Zagrebu/Proceedings of the Faculty of Economics & Business Zagreb, INTEREULAWEAST - Journal for International and European Law, Economics and Market Integrations. Most of them are indexed in leading internationally relevant citation databases (eg. WoS and Scopus).
The Faculty of Economics & Business Zagreb is an important advisory body of the economic system of the Republic of Croatia, while its professors, to a greater or lesser extent, influence the economic policy-making not only in Croatia but also at the level of the European Union. FEB Zagreb is recognized as an important and desirable strategic partner by the largest companies in the Republic of Croatia. This orientation enables our teachers and associates to realize their own research and advisory potentials.
